JAMMU, Apr 27: ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat conducted Inter-School Painting Competition here today.
80 students from different educational institutions participated in the competition in two different categories on Theme “CIean India” for Classes 4th to 7th and theme “Save Earth for Classes 8th to 10th .
During the inaugural programme, Director Information and Public Relations, Muneer-Ul-Islam was the chief guest while Secretary, JMC Sunaina Mehta was the Guest of Honour where as during the closing ceremony IGP (Retd), A. Q. Manhas, was the Chief Guest while Additional SP Security Sandeep Mehta was the guests of honour.
The judges for the event were Principal Govt Hr Secondary School, Channi Himmat Parveen Akhter and Fine Art Teacher Nisha Rani.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Information, highlighted the importance of making such activities as part of schools curriculum that will provide platform to the budding artists to show their creative brilliance.
AQ Manhas, during his address said that competitions help enhance the creative skills and develop personality of the students.
