Asraria Bhalessa wins T20 Cricket Tourney

DODA, Nov 16: Asraria Cricket Club (ACC), Bhalessa trounced Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah and won the final trophy of the ongoing Bhaderwah Bhalessa Premier League 2016, being played at PG Ground Bhaderwah, here.
The tournament was organized by Bhalessa Youth Organization and in this tournament around 30 teams from different parts of the District participated.
Earlier, after winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah elected to bat first. Batting first, MCC Bhaderwah set a target of 174 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Rashoo Shapoo and Babar Mughal contributed 49 and 35 runs respectively for their team. From ACC Bhalessa, Ayaz, Saleem and Babar Shah shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, the superb performance from Deepak and Saleem led team ACC Bhalessa to clinch the final trophy and they managed to chase the target in 19.3 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Deepak played a fine knock of 62 runs while Saleem contributed 52 runs to the total.
Later-on, Deepak was declared as man of the match for his splendid batting performance, while man of the tournament award was given to Mubashir Rather of ACC Bhalessa for his all-round performance.
MLC Naresh Gupta was the chief guest, while Principal GDC Bhaderwah Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi was the guest of honor besides Mehboob Mustafa Azad was the special guest on the occasion, who presented Rs 25000 to the winning team and Rs 15000 to the runners-up team.
In his address Mr Gupta said that sports activities are important for the overall physical and mental development of the youth.
