Association highlights issues confronting private schools

JAMMU, Sept 13: A meeting of Private schools Association was held here today under the chairmanship of Kamal Gupta for discussing the issues being confronted by the private schools.
In the meeting, PSA general secretary Ajay Gupta drew attention towards the issues likes pressurizing by Directorate of School Education for FFC’s NOC from the schools functioning up to 8th standard, delay in granting recognition to the school functioning up to 10th & 12th classes and suggestions’ and objections on SRO 292 of 2018.
Members present in the meeting condemned the step motherly treatment given by the Directorate School Education Jammu in granting recognition to number of schools up to class 8th on pick and choose method even as the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir has directed DSE Jammu to grant recognition to all such schools whose cases are sub judice without any NOC from the FFC. Members also disapproved the number of amendments in SRO 292.
Kamal Gupta urged to all the entrepreneurs’ of the self financed schools not to submit any file to the FFC until and unless Government comes out with clear cut policies and rules for the operation of Fee Fixation.
