JAMMU, Aug 14: Association of Small & Tiny Industry (ASTI), organized an exports awareness programme in collaboration with Directorate General of Foreign Trade (TGFT) and Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) at Samba.
Pawan Sethi, General Manager SIDCO, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the awareness event at SIDCO Bhawan, Samba the other day. The objective of organizing this event was to create awareness among the entrepreneurs, new startups and other stake holders about various opportunities available in the international market.
A K Bhushan, Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, while speaking on the occasion, shared various important support schemes, offered by Government of India, for the promotion of exports and active role played by the DGFT, and various other agencies like, FIEO to promote exports from India.
Vinay Sharma, Dy Director FIEO, said that their agency has taken various key initiatives to promote exports from the country. He said the FIEO has organized more than 50 International Trade Exhibitions all across the world, covering all kinds of products such as- auto components, hand tools, textiles, food products, Pharma, Ayurveda etc.
Monika Khullar , Chief Manager, India Exim Bank shared various financing schemes which the Bank is offering to the exporters and the importers.
Harbinder Singh, president ASTI, said that for strengthening export system, the Government should take all the measures. He also referred to a few initiatives taken by the Government in the region for the promotion of exports.
ASTI office bearers, Sanjay Chopra, Ajay Jagotra, Subhash Goswami, Kashmir Singh, Harish Dogra and others were also present during the session.
