SAMBA, Sept 1: Athletic Championship organized by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Athletic Association concluded at Baba Santokh Nath Ji Stadium, Smailpur, here today.
On the occasion, Subash Sharma, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Smailpur was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Sarpanch Meen Charka, Swarn Singh, who was guest of honour.
During the championship, SS Gill, ex-BSF Chief Coach, Tara Mani Rajput, ex-BSF officer, Nirmal Singh, Secretary, District Samba, Rakesh Singh Charak, Ashwani Sharma and Mohit were the technical officers.
In under-20 (100 meters), Mohit Charak, Rahul Chouhan and Anil Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Ranjan Pathania and Pankaj Sharma clinched first and second positions respectively.
In under-18 (1500 meters), Shubam Singh, Gurdev Singh and Akhil Singh clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
