Atman Club thrashes Preet Club by 60 runs

JAMMU, Feb 2: Atman Sports Cricket Club thrashed Preet Cricket Club by a huge margin of 60 runs in today’s fixture and sailed into the next round of the ongoing 3rd Parmodh Memorial Cricket Tournament being organized by Mandal Cricket Club at Panchayat Ghar Cricket ground, Mandal.
Batting first after winning the toss, Atman Club set a huge target of 185 runs infront of its opponent team for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sandy was the top scorer with 44 runs, while Chetan also played well and chipped in 42 runs. Hardeep Prince, Saleem and Monu Sharma also made 39, 25 and 23 runs respectively.
For Preet Club side, Aman clinched 3 wickets and Udesh scalped 2 wickets, while Sunil and pankaj claimed one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Preet Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at 125 runs for all out in 19.1 overs. Gulshan chipped in 29 runs, while Udesh made 20 runs. Sunil and Aman also contributed 15 runs each.
For Atman Club side, Sidharth and Deepak Sharma were the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each, while Monu Sharma scalped 2 wickets. Hardeep Prince and KK also took one wicket apiece.
Deepak Sharma was declared as man of the match for scalping 3 wickets.
The match was officiated by Dhai and Arun, while Sunny Sharma maintained the scorecard.
The tournament is being organized under the guidance of GS Micheal, Sports Secretary.
