JAMMU, Nov 12: Atman Sports XI drubbed RCC XI in the last league match and sailed into the next round of the ongoing Eid-Diwali Milan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department in collaboration with Simula Software at MA Stadium, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, RCC XI scored 133 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Shabaz was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Rahul made 22 runs with the help of 2 fours. Satish also contributed 21 runs to the total.
For Atman Sports XI Side, KK claimed 2 wickets, while, Sidarth, Narinder, Chetan and Dogra scaped one wicket each.
In reply, Atman Sports XI chased the target in last ball of the match. Atman Sports XI needed 2 runs and Sidarth hit a six and made his team to enter into the next round of the tournament.
Monu was the top scorer with 25 runs including three balls towards the fence, while, Chetan and Sidarth also contributed 20 and 18 runs respectively.
For RCC XI side, Rohit was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 3 wickets, while Venus and Kuldeep also took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
Sidarth of Atman XI was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant performance.
Meanwhile, in Pool-C matches, all three teams won two matches but Vishal Cricket Club and RCC XI qualifies for the Quarter Final round on batting average.
The matches were officiated by Suhail and Madan as umpires, while Bunty maintained the scorebook.
In tomorrow fixture, JKP XI will take on ACC XI.
