Atul Pangotra to represent J&K in South Asian Games

JAMMU, Nov 27: State and Sher-e-Kashmir Awardee, Taekwondo International Player and Referee, Atul Pangotra has been selected to represent J&K as Player in the 13th South Asian Games to be held in Nepal from December 1 to 10, 2019.
Atul is now the first player of J&K to represent the Union Territory in South Asia Games.
He got the selectors nod during the selection trials conducted in SAI, Aurangabad under the supervision of Sports Authority of India (SAI), Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and under the observation of World Taekwondo.
The selection camp was held from November 18 to 20, 2019.
Presently Atul is at National Coaching Camp in SAI Aurangabad.
16 players in Kyorugi event and 17 players in Poomsae event are going to take part in these Games from all over India in Taekwondo.
Commenting on this achievement, Atul said that hard work and dedication has helped him to get the National selectors nod and hoped for a better result.
Atul is working in the Department of Youth Services and Sports as a Physical Education Teacher.
He has already represented India in around 50 National and International Championships.
