Augmentation of grid stations demanded

JAMMU, July 15: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president which was attended by the members by adjoining areas of Roop Nagar , Lower Roop Nagar , Dogra Nagar and Suran Vihar.
The meeting demanded augmentation of Roop Nagar and Janipura Grid Stations in view of the increasing population in the areas fed by these two grid stations.
The meeting further demanded that R 2 Feeder on which large area is dependent needs immediate segregation to reduce load on this feeder.
The meeting sought immediate attention of Lt Governor, G C Murmu in this regard and it urged him to issue directives to PDD authorities to take possible steps for solving the problems of the people.
The meeting also appealed the Lt. Governor to enhance the relief assistance of migrants as prices of essential commodities are touching sky. It also demanded announcement of special package for migrants, issuance of orders for waiting list teachers and statistical assistants. It demanded that 3000 posts already announced under PM package be also advertised at an earliest.
