JAMMU, Aug 8: An auto driver was injured seriously when he was allegedly assaulted by another auto driver here at Gurha Morh, Bakshi Nagar.
According to a police spokesperson, the accused identified as Vijay Singh alias Dana son of Inderjeet Singh, a resident of Gurha, Bakshi Nagar, who was in an inebriated condition engaged in a verbal duel with one Yash Paul Sharma son of Ruldu Ram, a resident of H No-133, Shakti Nagar, Jammu.
However, after heated exchanges, the accused hit the victim’s head with a wooden log. The blood-ridden Yash Paul was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter and detained the accused for questioning.
