JAMMU, Nov 20: District Election Officer A K Sahu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu along with Dy CEO R.K Sangral, Harcharan Singh Consultant & and Balvinder Singh, head of Jammu and Kashmir Election Watch and State Coordinator Association for Democratic Reforms, ADR today formally flagged of Auto Poster Rally for Voters Awareness. The program was jointly organized by JK Election Watch and ADR in continuation of their mission to aware the voters about their constitutional right.
While speaking on the occasion, the Dy. CEO and DC Jammu congratulated the JK Election Watch and ADR for taking the initiative of conducting such awareness program to increase the voting percentage which is further helpful in maximising the voting percentage in the elections which is obviously a healthy sign for a democracy.
While sharing further details about the program, Balvinder Singh, Chief of JK Election Watch informed that as of now 700 autos have been collaborated across the State in their program and 350 autos in each region of the state will carry the posters in different languages with the message and appeal to the voters to choose and vote only a competent candidate and do not compromise the right to vote for materialistic things.
Singh appealed the youth of the state to join this campaign and educate the uneducated and less privileged people about their right to vote. He also informed that soon , JK Election Watch would hold voters awareness program in colleges and other educational institutes.
On this occasion besides the officers of the Election Department a large number of volunteers of JKEW namely Deepak Sharma, Raman Sharma RTI Activist, Jasbir Singh, Sharanjeet singh, Mahesh Kotwal Manmohan Singh, S. Manjeet singh were present.
