JAMMU, Sept 7: Superb batting by Ave Kachroo helped Shankara-XI to script eight wickets win over Jagti Orientals in Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League, being played at KC Sports Ground, here today.
Batting first, Jagti Orientals made 123 runs by losing eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs wherein Ishan Sehgal made 20 runs, whereas Provin Bhat and Nilesh Bhat contributed 19 and 18 runs to the total respectively. From the bowling side, Siddharth clinched three wickets, while Ritik and Vishal bagged two and one wickets respectively.
In reply, Shankara-XI chased the target by losing only two wickets in 17 overs. Ave Kachroo made unbeaten 63 runs, studded with eight fours and one boundary, while Suraj Koul and Ronak Razdan contributed 21 and 19 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Deepak and Raina Puran bagged one wicket each.
Ajeet Kumar and Vijay Raina were the umpires of the match, while Sonu Zutshi and Sarthak Zutshi acted as scorers.
