AWICT provides stationery items, furniture to Govt school

JAMMU, May 25: Continuing the ongoing drive of empowering economically backward girl students, Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust (AWICT) on Monday provided books, stationery, furniture items and water cooler to the Government High School of Tanda, Akhnoor.
The event was part of Trust’s ongoing drive to promote gender equality and to motivate the girls from poor families to continue their studies.
The books and stationery was handed over to the girls students by BJP MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and Aditi Sharma, national president of the Trust, a social workers and women- child right activist.
AWICT also provide some furniture items and water cooler to school authorities for students.
Speaking on the occasion,  Shamsher Singh Manhas said that trust will continue to work for the betterment of society and will provide aid to needy students, so that they can continue their studies without any hurdle.
He also suggested the students to opt good habits in life and study well to achieve desirous goal in life.
MLA Rajeev Sharma was also present on the occasion.
