JAMMU, Dec 6: Aditya Welfare Trust XI and Vishal Cricket Club registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing 5th Christmas T20 Cricket Tournament, being jointly organized by Christian Sports Organization Jammu and Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu and supported by Diocese of J&K.
In today’s matches, Jathin K. Subarimanium Branch Manager South Indian Bank, Jammu was the chief guest who was introduced with the participating players.
Earlier, in the first match, Adity Wefare Trust Club defeated Shastri Cricket Club in an thrilling contest by 2 runs. Batting first, AWT XI scored 154 runs in 20 overs, with Bawa (43), Mohit (25) and Abhishek (17) being the main scorers. Sawan took 3 wickets, Gagandeep and varun bagged 2 wickets each, while Vicky and Deepak shared 1 wicket.
In reply, Shastri Club scored 152 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 2 runs. Sawan (39), Chander (35) and Varun (17) were the main scorers. Sourav took 4 important wickets, Kamal bagged 3 wickets and Prithvi claimed 2 wickets. Sourav was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Vishal Club defeated Media XI by 59 runs. Batting first, Vishal Club scored 184 runs for 5 wickets with Divansh (57), Abhinav Puri (35), Jatin (28) and Rohan Gill (15) being the main scorers.
Vicky took 2 wickets, Yash, Faheem and Ranjeet claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Media XI managed to score 125 runs to lose the match by 48 runs. Faheem Tak top scored with 35 runs, while Pardeep (20) and Des Raj (12) were the other contributors. From Vishal Club, Ramandeep took 3 wickets, while Abhinav bagged 2 wickets.
