JAMMU, Nov 18: To celebrate the spirit of Children’s Day, Axis Bank, Pouni Chak Branch hosted a painting competition ‘Splash’ at S L Memorial Model High School Pouni Chak here today.
Banks are an integral part of each neighbourhood community and through the SPLASH initiative; Axis Bank celebrated Children’s Day by engaging with children in neighbourhood.
The aim of this competition was to celebrate Children’s Day and spread smiles among the children, help celebrate their dreams as well as festivals and spread awareness about protecting the environment and hence the themes were: My Dream World, Festivals of India & Go Green.
‘SPLASH’ was open to children between the age group of 7-12. A Total of 50 students of the school participated in the contest. The winners were awarded medals and prizes and their paintings will be sent for State level and then national level competition, the result of which will be declared by end of December 2013. All the participants were awarded certificate of participation.
