Badgami’s Kashmiri Pandits Bujtay Charag hits stands

JAMMU, Aug 12: Kashmiri Pandit Bujtay Charag a book written by P L Koul Badgami has hit stands. The book in Urdu is a masterpiece of Mr Badgami on forced exodus and related issues of Kashmiri Hindus.
The book is written in Urdu and comprises of 15 articles in three parts. The first part deals with Kashmir after 1947, second deals with Pandits desperation, causes and remedies while the third part comprises of list of martyrs killed in cruel and merciless conditions by the terrorists.
The book is a thoughtful content of 120 pages and costs Rs 100. It is the first kind of Urdu book on forced exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
The forward of the book has been written by well known academician and journalist Dr K N Pandita. While commenting on book Dr Pandita, said on the name of religion forcing a weak and a minority community to leave the Valley on the gun point is one of the shameful acts in the history which will have far reaching consequences.
He said the forced exodus has taken place in such a set up which is called secular and democratic with pride.
He further in his comments said whenever any towering leader of the India visited State after the independence of country he claimed Kashmir is a living example of India’s secularism. It is irony of fate that the Kashmiri Pandits are today leading an exiled life in different parts of country and Parliamentarians of the country claim that Pandits are happy and prosperous.
