POONCH, Sept 3: A badminton court was today inaugurated by the Deputy Commander Infantry Brigade Poonch in the presence of large numbers of prominent citizens at Pritam Park, Ward number 4 in Poonch.
This Badminton court has been developed by Imtiaz Salaria Councillor, Municipal Council Poonch which was dedicated to the public of Poonch particularly youth and women to avail sport facilities as it is located in the heart of town where selfie point was installed recently.
Pertinent to mention that the park is scenic place thronged by large public and it could be accessed by all, while a badminton set was played by national level players during inauguration in presence of International spiker Saqlain Tariq and renowned sportsperson and chairman of Shaheed Manjit Singh Volleyball Club Mohd Tariq. The program was anchored by renowned announcer Pardeep Khana. All guests also visited the open gym and selfie point.
The prominent persons who were present includes Colonel J S Chadda Rajinder Singh Councillor, Parvinder Singh councillor, Moulana Sayeed Habib, Iftikhar Bazmi,Nanna Gill, Balbir Singh, Munni Lal, Gul Mohd Charak, Mudassir Bhukhari, Gurcharan Singh, Sabar Hussain, Jyoti Kumar, Mohd Arif, Farooq Tanha.
