JAMMU, Feb 7: The Badminton tournament organized under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) by District Jammu Police concluded today in Sub Division R.S.Pura in presence of galaxy of dignitaries, senior citizens, Sarpanches and sports lovers.
Paramveer Chakra S Bana Singh Ji was the chief guest on the occasion, who appreciated the move of J&K Police of organizing sports tournaments.
S. Randheer Singh, SP Hqrs, Jammu while highlighting the importance of organizing such sports tournaments maintained that J&K Police is committed to have drug free society and in this endeavor is looking forward for the support and active cooperation of likeminded social organizations to fight this menace.
In under-15 girls final, Shivangi of JK Police Public School defeated Anishi of Army Public School, Miran Sahib, while in boys category, Tushar Sharma of Army Public School, Miran Sahib defeated Nitesh Sharma of Adarash Niketan Hr. Sec. School, Badyal Brahmana. Under age group of 19 years Ramandeep Singh of Divya Hr. Sec. School Gadigarh defeated Abhishek of Covent High School Arnia, and Similarly in age group of 19-40, Parth Mahajan of Arnia defeated Sudhakar Sharma and in Veteran group Narinder Singh defeated Vikas Sharma of Miran Sahib.
The CAP activities in the area were undertaken under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu. SP Hqrs,Jammu, SDPO R.S.Pura, SHO P/S Bishnah, R.S.Pura and Miran Shaib were present on the occasion.
