Balbir enters final of Astec Int’l Championship

JAMMU, Dec 7: In order to select the J&K State Badminton team for the Junior under-19 age Badminton Championship-2018, being held at Lucknow from December 16 to 22 the Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association will be holding selection trials at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium here from December 10 to 12
All the top ranking Badminton players of J&K State will be participating in these selection trials to be held in Junior (U-19) Boys Singles & Doubles event; Junior (U-19) Girls Singles & Doubles and Junior (U-19) Mixed Doubles event. The State team for the junior (U-19) National Badminton Championships being held at Lucknow will be selected on the basis of performance of the players in the trials.
According to a handout issued here, the draws will be held on December 9 at 5 pm and the matches will start on December 10 at 10 am.
Meanwhile, Balbir Singh Jamwal, General Secretary J&K Badminton Association and member of a Diamond Jubilee Group has reached into the finals of Actec International Senior Veteran Championship, being held at Pataya in Thailand.
