JAMMU, Nov 9: Former legislator and senior Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Shiv Dev Singh dedicated an Indoor Badminton and Table Tennis courts inside the premises of the Ahata-e-Waqar -a day care and recreation centre for senior citizens at Roop Nagar, here today.
Shiv Dev Singh also visited the day-care centre set up at the recreation centre and greeted the senior citizens present there.
While referring to the sports facilities dedicated to the public, he said that the people living in the sectors have been given the facility to play Badminton and said that it will provide physical benefits to the citizens and make them happy. He said sports should be included as an integral part of everyone’s life.
Councillor Tripta Devi besides executive body members of ‘Day Care & Recreation Centre’ namely Pawan Kumar, Shashi Pal Sharma, Rajinder Koul, Baldev Singh, Yashpal Sharma and others were present during the event.
