JAMMU, July 31: In an ongoing Inter-Departmental Tournament 2023-2024, Badminton (Man /Female), Volleyball (Male) and Carrom (Male/Female) matches were held here today in the University of Jammu.
In Carrom (Male) LifeLong Learning Department defeated Geology Department by (2-1) and Sociology Department beat Zoology Department by (2-0), while in final Sociology Department defeated LifeLong Learning Department (2-0).
In Carrom (Female) DDE & OE defeated the Environmental Science Department by (2-0), English Department defeated Physical Education Department by (2-0) and in final, DDE & OE defeated English Department by (2-0).
Badminton (Female), Biotechnology Department defeated The Law School by (2-0), History Department defeated Library Sciences Department by (2-0), Physics Department defeated DSRS Department by (2-0) and Law Department defeated Physics Department by (2-0).
The results of Volleyball (Male)matches were S.H.T.M Department defeated Commerce Department by (2-1) Set Score: -9-15,15-12 & 14-16; Buddhist Studies Department defeated Dogri Department by (2-0) Set Score: -15-02 & 15-09, The Law School defeated Urdu Department by (2-1) Set Score: -11-15,16-14 & 19-21, Education Department got walkover against Journalism Department, Political Science Department Got Walkover Against ICCCR and HRM and Environment Science Got Walkover Against Statistics Department.
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Jai Bharat, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Padam Dev Singh, Sahil Sharma, Zaffer Iqbal,Kewal Krishan, Musharraf and Rehmat Ali.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu.
