JAMMU, Mar 15: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) today held a meeting under the presidium of its president Rajeev Charak and chairman Baldevraj Nagotra at Bawe Wali Mata, Bahu Fort, here for discussing arrangements regarding upcoming Navratras.
The meeting was chaired by SS Slathia, DSP Security and attended by Jasbir Singh SHO Bagh-e-Bahu, Subash Sharma Sanitary Officer JMC, Subash Verma Div. Fire Officer HQ. Gandhi Nagar, Ashok Sharma X-En PHE, Rajinder Singh JE PHE, Gupta JE PDD and Sohan Lal, Incharge PP.
On the occasion, Rajeev Charak explained the volunteers about their duties and also gave them guidelines for remaining vigilant against unscrupulous/anti national elements while providing varied level of assistance to the devotees during the Navratras. He appealed the people in general to cooperate with the volunteers and requested officials of concerned departments to complete their bit of work as early as possible before Navratras so that the devotees may not face any difficulty in seeking blessing of Mata Maha Kali.
He also appealed Traffic Police for proper management of the heavy traffic and jams. Charak reiterated his demand to the Government for the constitution of Bawe Wali Mata Shrine Board at the earliest for ensuring required facilities for the visiting devotees.
Ishant Gupta – spokesman BFDC, also appealed people to cooperate with the Police and volunteers deployed at the holy shrine to avoid any type of mishappening during the Navratras.
