Baig interacts with KP migrants via video conferencing

JAMMU, May 4: Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffar Hussain Baig today interacted with Kashmiri Pandit migrants in Jammu via video conferencing.
He said the performance of the NC-led Government has been disastrous where the ordinary people have to face tremendous hardships because of the anarchy prevailing in the system. Baig said now the people have to make a clear choice and decide whether they want to get Kashmir out of the mess or want suffer under the anti-people policies of the NC. He urged the KP community to vote and support him in the Parliament election, to be held on May 7.
On the occasion various leaders of Kashmiri Pandits migrant community offered their support to him. They also discussed their problems and issues with him. They apprised Baig that, the “M” form which is required to be filed for becoming eligible to cast vote is the biggest hurdle in the exercise of the fundamental right of voting by the migrants. They further stated that process of voting should be simplified and the assurances advanced by the various authorities in the past in this regard be honoured and implemented. The requirement of migrants to get themselves registered for every election should be dispensed with to reduce the hardships faced by them in exercising their fundamental right of voting in an election.
KP migrant leaders belonging to Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora also discussed about the honorable return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit families to their respective districts. They also highlighted the problems of Kashmiri Pandit Youths.
Baig patiently listen to all the grievances and problems faced by the KP migrant community and said that problem of the Kashmiri Pandits should be solved with human approach.
