Bajalta CC wins T20 title

JAMMU, Nov 9: Bajalta Cricket Club defeated Shastri Nagar Cricket Club by 41 runs in the summit clash to lift the BP Premier League T20 Cricket title at Malour Jagir Sidhra Bain Bajalta, here today.
The winners were presented a prize of Rs 55,000, while runners-up team received a cash prize of Rs 33,000 from the chief guest, Rakesh Wazir, State general secretary, Bahujan Samaj Party in presence of Sarpanch, Bain Bajalta Rehmat Ali, chairman of Panchayat Mohan Lal Verma , Darshan Lal, Romesh Sharma, besides organizers Raj Gopal and Sushil Langeh.
A total of 40 matches were played in the tournament in which Aman was declared as man of series and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Shastri Nagar Cricket Club elected to bowl first and got a target of 73 runs in allotted 12 overs, while chasing the score of 73 runs Shastri Nagar Cricket Club bundled out for 32 runs and lost the match by 41 runs. Vicky took 5 wickets and was declared as man of the match.
Rakesh Wazir while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the youth to take part in sports and games for healthy life.
