JAMMU, June 23: Balbir Singh Jamwal, General Secretary, Badminton Association of Jammu & Kashmir has been appointed as team Manager of Indian Junior Badminton Team by Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam and President of Badminton Association of India (BAI) for representing the country in Badminton Asia Junior Championships -2024 being held at Yogyakarta, Indonesia from June 28 to July 7, 2024.
He is also a well known International Badminton player. He represented the country in the many International Championships held at China’s Tei Pei, Spain, Canada, Malaysia, Pattaya.
He is also a silver medallist in the Masters National Badminton Championships-2023 held at Panchkula (Haryana) in MD-70+ category. Previously he was also accompanied as Team Manager with the Indian Badminton team in the International Badminton tournament held at Myanmar, Chengdu, China recently.
