JAMMU, Nov 12: For his outstanding contribution in the field of sports, SM Bali, president J&K Handball Association and secretary general of Handball Federation of India has been honoured with Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Apostolic International University affiliated to and accredited by Academy of Universal Global Peace, USA.
The Degree was presented to Dr Bali in the Convocation held at Dr J Jayalalitha Indoor Basketball Stadium, Indoor Sports Auditorium Chennai by Justice P Baskaran in presence of Vice Chancellor Kalaimamani-Ln Dr G Manilal, Cardinal Dr SM Jaya, A Sarwanan, secretary Tamil Nadu Handball Association and Dr Makkal G Rajan.
Mr Bali has the distinction of been honoured by the Jammu and Kashmir State, Indian Olympic Association and International Handball Federation.
Apart from been honoured by former J&K Governor, LK Jha in 1980, Bali has received Sher-e-Kashmir Award in 1983 and 1986 for his contribution in the field of sports.
