JAMMU, Aug 22: Balkar Singh of Government Higher Secondary School Fallain Mandal bagged gold in Under-19 boys below 65 kg weight category, while Mukesh Kumar of the same school clinched gold in below 55 kg category in the Inter-School tournament of Satwari and Gandhi Nagar zones at Government Boys High School Jammu Cantonment, here today.
Meanwhile, in kho-kho Under-19 boys, HSS Fallain Mandal trounced Dogra HSS Gandhi Nagar by 10 points (15-05) to lift the title trophy.
The tournament was being conducted by Kiran Jyoti, zonal physical education officer, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The matches and bouts were officiated by Chanderkanta, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Hardev Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Ramesh Padha, Jitender Kour, Tarseem Lal, Jasvir Kour, Satvir Kour and Suraj Kour, while Bunty Jad maintained the office records.
