JAMMU, Dec 8: Balwant Thakur Director Natrang has been invited to 3rd International NGO and CSR Summit being held in Dubai.
Organized by Mehez Foundation, this International Submit featuring International NGO excellence Awards will be held at Hotel Holiday Inn Bur, Dubai on January 20, 2019.
On the occasion International NGO excellence Awards will be presented to the outstanding organizations for their unique contribution in their respective fields.
This is the 3rd International NGO summit. The 1st and 2nd International summits were held in Thailand and Malaysia respectively.
This daylong conference will also discuss success stories, best practices and key challenges that NGO and CSR have faced in the world over. Popularly known in the outside world as the cultural ambassador of Jammu & Kashmir, Bailwant Thakur is decorated with the highest Indian honor in performing arts i.e., Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Direction in theatre, and is also credited for being the youngest theatre director of India who has participated over Three hundred Fifty National Theatre Festivals as director, which is a record in the country. Known as a magic man of theatre, his outstanding visual poetics on stage like ‘Ghumayee’ ‘Bawa Jitto’ ‘Suno Eh Kahani’ ‘Chauraha’ and ‘Mahabhoj’ ‘Gulab Gatha’, ‘Mata KI Kahani’ have vibrated the theatre scene of North India. Credited for bringing Dogri theatre to the National and International limelight, he has been highly instrumental in creating a new cultural renaissance in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
