JAMMU, Apr 26: Bandhu Rakh Hockey Club and Hirangar Club today qualified for the semifinals of the 2nd Mahant Bachitter Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament, organised by MBS Club at Government (Boys) High School Simbal Camp grounds, here.
In the first quarterfinal, Bandhu Rakh defeated AKS Digiana 5-2 while Hiranagar Club trounced BBSB Poonch 4-2.
In today’s matches, Gurmeet Singh Lucky (Junior Engineer) was chief guest, who interacted with the teams.
Prominent among others present were Rajinder Singh Nathu, Karanjeet Singh, Charanjeet Singh, PP Singh, Manjeet Singh, Harman Singh, Parshotam Singh and Jaspreet Singh.
FIXTURE: Hiranagar Club to meet Khalsa Hockey Club at 3.30 pm while MBS Simbal will take on Bandu Rakh Hockey Club at 4.30 pm tomorrow.
