JAMMU, Apr 24: Bandurakh Hockey Club and Dashmesh Hockey Club scripted wins over Society for Sports and Hiranagar Hockey Club by 6 goals to 2 and 5 goals to 3 respectively in the ongoing ‘Six A Side Hockey Tournament at Bandurakh’, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Bandurakh Hockey Club under the aegis of Hockey J&K.
The 1st match was played between Hiranagar Hockey Club and Dashmesh Hockey Club which was won by Dashmesh Hockey Club by 5 goals to 3 wherein Rickey from Dashmesh Club was declared as man of the match.
Jasbir Singh Jassi was the chief guest, whereas Mankamal Singh was guest of honour of the first match. They introduced the team players before commencement of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Bandurakh Hockey Club and Society for Sports, wherein Bandurakh emerged winners by 6 goals to 2. The man of the match award was given to Pardeep Singh which was sponsored by Rehat Sports Kunjwani.
The chief guest of 2nd match was Jagpreet Kour (Proprietor Rehat Sports Kunjwani), while Madan Katal (Bhartiya) Kisan Sabha) was the guest of honour.
Prominent persons including Sarabjit Singh, Tejinder Singh Raju, Gurpreet Singh Guppy, Satnam Singh, Jasvinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Tarandeep Singh, Madan Katal, Fazal Din and Sohail Chaudhary were present during the matches to encourage teams’ players.
