JAMMU, Sept 3: Kindergarten wing of Banyan International School celebrated Grandparents Day with great fanfare and zeal.
The day was celebrated with an objective to nurture the young ones the important of human values.
‘They have silver in their hair and gold in their heart’ was the sentiment echoed by the students, during the Grandparents Day celebrations.
The grandparents of the students were invited to the school and the response was overwhelming. Some grandparents even accompanied the little ones to school in the morning itself.
Through songs, dances and skits, toddlers expressed their love and respect for their grandparents.
A lot of fun-filled games were also organized in which the grandparents participated along with their grandchildren.
The pure love and affection expressed by the little innocent children brought smiles of appreciation to the faces of grandparents while some eyes brimmed over with tears.
At the end, the message conveyed was that grandparents and grandchildren, together they create a chain of love, linking the past with the future.
