JAMMU, Aug 1: Banyan International School hosted its first annual Inter-School Storytelling Competition for the children of Classes 1st and 2nd in School premises, here.
With 16 Schools participating in the event, 64 primary students were given the opportunity to showcase their narrative skills in English, presenting famous short stories like Goldilocks and The Hare and the Tortoise to their peers.
The confidence and skill exhibited by the children, dressed up as the characters they were portraying, was a heart-warming.
In a novel twist, all of the escort teachers were used as judges in the two round competition, allowing them to participate more actively as well.
From Class 1st, winner and runners-up were Punish from Jodhamal Public School and Anandi from Banyan International School respectively, and Aadhya of Jodhamal and Rinita of The First Step took the top two spots in the Class 2nd category.
