Banyan International School organizes 1st Annual Inter-School Gymnastics Competition

JAMMU, Aug 9: Banyan International School, managed in association with Pearson Schools hosted the 1st Annual Interschool Gymnastics Competition for Under-8 and Under-10 students, here today.
Seven Schools participated in the Competition, which involved over 40 students.
The event was judged by Sher-e-Kashmir Awardees, Manvinder Singh and Mayank Jain.
Speaking on the occasion, Shounak Lahiri, Principal, Banyan International School said that the School organized the Competition to explore talent across all schools in Jammu at the Primary Level.
The competitors performed floor exercises and demonstrated a very high level of acrobatic talent.
In the Under-8 boys category, Aryan Angotra from Banyan International School emerged as the champion, while Shlok Khajuria from the same School bagged silver.
Puneet Thappa from Jammu Sanskriti School and Prathit Sharma from G D Goenka claimed bronze.
In the Under-10 boys, Dhairya Sharma from Banyan International School won gold, Vansh Gupta from the same School and Arpit from Jammu Sanskriti School tied for silver, while third place was a three way tie amongst Ayush from Jammu Sanskriti School, Snatan from Air Force School and Brahmajot from Banyan International School.
In the Under-8 girls category, Kangna Manchanda of Banyan International School, Nysa Gupta of G.D. Goenka School and Aika Mahajan of Banyan International School claimed first, second and third place respectively, while in Under-10 girls, Shweta was winner, while second place went to Anshika Choudhary of Banyan International School. The third place was claimed by Sania Raina of KC Gurukul and Arshia of Air Force School.
Banyan International finished with3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals to emerge champion.
Mayank Jain’s live demonstration for the students was also a highlight of the day.
