JAMMU, Oct 21: The students, Hindi teachers and Principal of Banyan International School were given medals and certificates that were won by the School in the 15th Akhil Bhartiya Rashtrabhasha Pariksha held by the Mahatma Gandhi Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Prachar Sanstha recently.
Attending the formal assembly at the School were Harinder Mahajan, Director of the School, Sahil Mahajan, Pooja Mahajan and Miho Mahajan, representing the Management, while Harish Doraiswamy, Vice President of Pearson and Jairam Balakrishnan, Director of Pearson Schools flew in from Bangalore for the ceremony. Harinder Mahajan presented the Aadarsh Pathshala Puraskar to the Principal, Shounak Lahiri.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lahiri lauded the School’s teachers for their tireless effort and Doraiswamy encouraged the students to cherish their national language.
