JAMMU, Dec 8: The students of Banyan International School brought laurels to the School with their performance in the 2nd Jammu and Kashmir Sanda Cup Wushu Championships held at M A Stadium, recently.
Clinching 2nd spot in the State, the School bagged 25 medals, with 4 gold, 7 silver and 14 bronze.
Principal of the School, Shounak Lahiri lauded the efforts of the students and especially the coach, Appu Jamwal, who herself bagged a gold in 48 kg category of the Championship.
The medal winners included Satyam, Aniket, Shanvi and Mankirat (all gold); Gurnaz, Aika, Jasleen, Kamakshi, Mehak, Nityaom and Katyayni (all silver); Pratham, Pancham, Keshav, Ridhan, Brahmjot, Laksh, Sumaria, Twinkle, Agrima, Arya, Khushi, Nitya, Anikeet and Ojusv (all bronze).
