Baramulla Bahadurs thrash Shopian Super Kings by 9 wkts in KPL

SRINAGAR, June 25: Sailing on a fabulous knock of unbeaten 60 runs by Firdous and a superb display of bowling by Mohd Mudasir and Amjid, Baramulla Bahadurs thrashed Shopian Super Kings by 9 wickets in an easy contest in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League (KPL) Phase-II, organized by 46 RR in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports and J&K State Sports Council, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Shopian Super Kings collapsed at 91 runs in 19.4 overs. Shoaib (22) and Imtiyaz (18) were the main scorers. For Baramulla Bahadurs, Mohd Mudasir scalped 3 important wickets, while Amjid captured 2 wickets and Abid Salaam claimed one.
Baramulla Bahadurs, in reply, scored the required runs easily in 12 overs by losing just one wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Firdous played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 60 runs and guided his side to a resounding victory.
The match was officiated by Manzoor Dar and Imran Haroon as umpires, while Irfan Zahoor was the scorer. Firdous acted as the match referee.
It is pertinent to mention here that this tournament is the Phase-II of Kashmir Premier organised by Indian Army Under Operation Sadhbhavana in various districts of Kashmir Valley.
