Baramulla, Oct 31: Baramulla Rover’s Club clinched the Baramulla District Baseball championships by defeating Government Higher Secondary Institute, Palhallan by 2 : 0 homes here in a 3 days long championship at Government Higher Secondary Institute, Nehalpora, Pattan.
Zubair Najar and Umer Lone scored one home each from Baramulla Rovers Club in boys section, while as in girls category host Government Higher Secondary School, Nehalpora defeated Pattan Reds Club by a margin of 11: 8 homes Insha and Sabreena played excellently and scored 3 homes each while as Rifata and Shagufta scored two homes each from GHSS , Nehalpora.
During the championships a team of 16 members each boys and girls was picked up for the up coming 10th state level baseball championships which is scheduled to be held from 23rd to 28th November, 2015 at Srinagar .
Besides Jasbir Singh, Principal Govt. HSS, Nehalpora distributed the prizes and certificates among the Winner and Runner up teams .
While as Fida Hassain Fidvi, General Secretary J&K Baseball Association was also present on the concluding function.
