Bari Brahmana Police rescues 12 bovine animals

SAMBA, Nov 29: In its continuous drive against the illegal trafficking of bovine animals, Bari Brahmana Police today rescued 12 bovine animals at a Naka at Balole bridge.
A police team headed by SHO Bari Brahmna Police Station Inspector Arun Jamwal intercepted a vehicle bearing No PB 06F-7581 at Naka Point Balole bridge, Bari Brahmana late last night. The inmates of the truck fled after seeing the police leaving vehicle and animals behind.
The animals were being transported illegally from Kathua area to Jammu, Police said.
The Police has registered a case FIR No 115/2013 U/S 188 RPC, 3 cruelty towards Animals Act at Bari Brahmana Police Station and started investigation.
This is the third bovine smuggling bid foiled by District Police Samba and in the current month 28 bovines were rescued by the district police.
