Bari Brahmana police rescues 13 bovines

SAMBA, Feb 7: Bari Brahmana police in Samba district today rescued 13 bovine animals including 10 buffalos and three calves which were loaded in a cruel and inhuman manner in a vehicle due to which one Buffalo had died.
Police said a team of Bari Brahmana Police Station (PS) had established a naka at SIDCO Chowk under the supervision of SHO, Rajesh Sharma and SDPO Shivali Kotwal. During the checking of vehicles they noticed one truck bearing Registration Number UPIIBT/1547 which was on way from Jammu to Kathua. However on seeing police the driver accelerated the speed and tried to fled away. However the naka team chased the truck and sensing danger the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled away. During checking of the vehicle police found 13 animals in it. Among them one Buffalo was found dead.
The police has registered a case FIR NO 31/22U/S 188/429/IPC, 11PCA Act in this regard and started the investigation. The Naka checking was started under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Abhishek Mahajan.
