JAMMU, June 4: 5-days Basic Civil Defence Training Programme, organized by Civil Defence, Jammu, at Chenab College of Education, Kaluchak, concluded here today.
50 members including students and the teaching staff participated in the programme.
Dushyant Sharma, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The main aim of the Programme was to educate the students and the teaching staff with regard to preventive measures to be taken during disaster or natural calamities.
The Civil Defence wardens and experts present on the occasion included R Vijay Magotra, Alok Nanda, Ram Chand, Rashpal Singh, Sudershan Saini and Ghar Singh.
Kunal Chib, Chief Secretary, Chenab College of Education presented the bouquet to the chief guest. The instructors of Civil Defence organization delivered lectures to acquaint the participants about the techniques to be undertaken at the time of need.
The programme was coordinated by Kamaldeep Kour, Coordinator of Chenab College of Education, while Priya Gupta presented vote of thanks.
