JAMMU, Sept 9: The Basketball competition was organised between different teams of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of Operational Battalions and Administration Group Centres of Jammu and Hiranagar, here today.
Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, GC CRPF, Jammu was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, while other officials including Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, GC CRPF Jammu, Sumit Verma, Dy. Commandant Ajay Sharma, Assistant Commandant and other gazetted officers were present during the event.
The main objective of the competition was to maintain sports spirit and awareness towards sports. The chief guest honoured the winner and runner up teams by presenting trophies and medals. The participants of this competition were selected for the Inter-sector Basketball competition- 2022, scheduled to be held from September 20 to 23 at GC CRPF Gwalior.
GC CRPF Jammu emerged winners of the competition, while 160 Battalion CRPF stood runner-up.
