JAMMU, Oct 25: Basketball Men and Women tournament of Cluster University of Jammu began at MA Stadium, here today.
Dr Koushal Samotra, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the presentation of bouquets to the chief guest by Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Sports Co-ordinator Cluster University of Jammu.
In Women Section, the first match was played between SPMR College of Commerce and Govt. MAM College, wherein MAM College emerged winner by (14-4), while in another match, GCW Gandhi Nagar defeated GGM Science College by 34-17.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sumnesh Sharma, Physical Director MAM College Jammu, Malik Aizaz, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce Jammu, Neelam Kumari, Assistant Physical Director, MAM College Jammu and Dileshwar Singh, Assistant Physical Director, GGM Science College Jammu.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of Dr Mandeep Singh, Physical Director, Govt College of Education Jammu.
The matches were officiated by Amanjyot (Chief Refree), Parveen, Shubam and Jassi Singh.
