JAMMU, Dec 2: The Annual SAC (Sports-Academics-Cultural) Meet 2015 was inaugurated today at ASCOMS in College Campus by DK Batra, Joint Secretary alongwith Dr RP Kudyar, Director Principal, here today.
The four day event will culminate on December 5, 2015, wherein various sports, academics and cultural activities will be held.
In Tug of War held today, ladies staff defeated students by (2-0), while male staff also trounced students convincingly.
In the ceremonial cricket match, staff thrashed students by a huge margin of 167 runs. Staff team scored a big total of 202 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Dr Ravinder K Gupta, Dr Rajesh Gupta and Dr Amit Suri scored 60, 56 and 45 runs respectively, while Dr Pawan Malhotra chipped in with unbeaten 30 runs.
In reply, the students were bundled out for paltry 35 runs in 7 overs. Dr Manmeet and Dr Rohit bagged 3 wickets each, while Dr Avinash and Dr Atul claimed 2 wickets each.
Dr Ravinder K Gupta took an excellent catch to help his team win by a huge margin.
