JAMMU, May 1: To encourage the youth and their participation in various sports, Kabaddi Championship was organized by Master Sohan Lal Social Reforms Charitable Trust, here.
Earlier, the championship was inaugurated by JKFED, Vice Chairman, Munish Sharma.
The teams competed against each other with great zeal and enthusiasm and demonstrated exemplary sportsman spirit.
The final match of the Championship was played today at Bawa Kailakh Asthan Thather, Jammu between Bawa Jitto Sports Club, Poni Chack and VVP Sport Club, R S Pura, wherein former emerged as winner by defeating the rival by a solitary goal.
The winners and the runners-up teams were felicitated by Munish Sharma and State BJP Kisan Morcha General Secretary, Sunil Dutt Sharma (Raka).
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that organising such sporting events inculcates competitive spirit and team spirit among the budding sportspersons.
The occasion was also graced by the presence Sanjay Sharma and other eminent citizens of Raipur Domana.
