JAMMU, Apr 27: Bari Brahmana Police today arrested one drug peddler and seized 468 bottles of Corex and Phensedyl the banned cough syrup form his possession.
According to police a patrolling party of Bari Brahmana Police today found one person carrying two bags in suspicious way near railway crossing Bari Brahmana . On checking the police found that the two bags were laden with banned cough syrup.
The arrested person was identified as Vicky Sabarwal, S/o Prem Nath Sabarwal of WZ/273 Tihar village New Delhi.
The B B Police has lodged a case FIR No 92/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act against him. The police team was led by SHO P/S Bari Brahmana, Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Bari Brahmana Usman Choudhary under the directives of SSP Samba Anil Mangotra.
Meanwhile a Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by S.I. Rajeshwar Singh, SHO P/S Ghagwal in association with DSB Samba and under the close supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Samba apprehended one person namely Sunil Kumar S/o Mohinder Pal R/o W No. 4 Hiranager district. Kathua near Railway Fatak Ghagwal and recovered 47 nips/pouches (250 ml) of J&K Excise from his possession.
In this connection a case FIR No. 47/2017 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered in P/S Ghagwal and investigation taken up.
