JAMMU, July 29: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has expressed resentment over the surveys being conducted by the Income Tax Department authorities in Industrial Complex here.
An urgent meeting of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association was held today to discuss the issue regarding the Income Tax Department surveys being done in Bari Brahmana Industrial complex in the premises of member unit M/s KC Menial & Allied Industries & other sister concerns of the owner, Raju Choudhary who is depositing advance tax on regular basis.
Members present in the meeting suggested that since the Income Tax Declaration Scheme is valid till September 30, 2016 the department should wait till September 30, 2016 to take further action in this regard and it is unjustified on the part of department to conduct surveys at this juncture when the time period of Income Tax Declaration Scheme 2016 is not yet over.
The BBIA members pointed out that the Industrial Sector of J&K is passing through an acute financial crunch due to current turmoil in Kashmir valley resulting stoppage in the Industrial activities and any move of the department to conduct such surveys may shatter the confidence of the Industrial sector.
