JAMMU, Apr 18: Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey (BBSBH) Club of Poonch beat Mohinder Singh Hockey Club (MSHC) Nowshera by 5-0 in the ongoing Junior Hockey Tournament (Men) District Jammu, organized by Hockey J&K at Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The 1st match of the day was played between Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club v/s Mohinder Singh Hockey Club. The Match was won by BBSBH Club by 5-0. For BBSBH Club, all goals were scored by Zahid Shabir.
Second match was played between Dashmesh Hockey Club (DHC) and Akali Kaur Singh Hockey Club (AKSHC), in which DHC won by 6-0. For Dashmesh Club, 3 goals were scored by Rajveer Singh and 1 goal each was scored by Rohit, Jasjot Singh and Deepak.
Dr Anitipal Singh, Orthopedician (Assistant Professor, ASCOMS) was main guest of 1st match whereas Amarjeet Singh was the main guest in second match of the day. Others present were GS Bakshi (former secretary general, Hockey J&K), Ishan Sharma (treasurer, Hockey J&K), Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (secretary general, Hockey J&K), Gurpreet Singh (vice president, Hockey J&K), Tajinder Singh (resident secretary, Hockey J&K), RP Singh and Matinder Pal Singh.
The matches were officiated by technical panel of Gurjit Singh (former International Hockey Player), Iqbal Singh (NIS), Balmeet Singh and D Singh.
