6th Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 26: Baba Banda Singh Hockey Club (BBSHC) Poonch, Dashmesh Hockey Club (DHC) Nanak Nagar and Khalsa Hockey Club (KHC) Gole Gujral won their restive matches on 1st day of 6th Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament, organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakku Stadium, Jammu.
Ist match of the Tournament was played between BBSHC Poonch and Champion Hockey Club Jammu in which BBSHC Poonch won by 6-0. From BBSHC, 3 goals were scored by Matinser Pal while 1 goal each was scored by Jameel Ahmed, Arunpreet Singh and Jahud Shabber Singh. Chranjeet Singh Khalsa (Ex MLC) was the chief guest of the first match.
Second match of the Day was played between DHC Nanak Nagar and Hiranagar Hockey Club in which DHC won by 4-2. From Dashmesh Club, 1 goal each was scored by Rajveer, Mycal, Tp and Gurpreet. Chief guest of this match was Jarnail Singh of Peaks Automobile while guest of honour was Ashok Singh (Divisional Sports Officer).
Third match was played between KHC Gole Gujral and Mrs Hockey Club in which KHC won by 6-0. Goals for KHC were scored by Gagandee, Gaganpreet, Jotver and Jaspinder Singh. Chief guest of the Match was Ranjeet Kalara (Member, Sports Council).
Others present were Rajinder Singh Kuku, Manjeet Singh, Sewa Singh, Tp Singh and all members of Kashmir Sikh Sangat.
The matches were officiated by Jagjeet Singh, Iqbal Singh, Joginder Singh, Tejinder Singh, Jaspreet Singh, D Singh and Gurpreet Singh.
