JAMMU, Nov 18: Bhatia Cricket Club Bishnah defeated Game Changer Cricket Club R S Pura by a narrow margin of 5 runs in a friendly match at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Dr Vikas Sharma, State President National Secular Forum (NSF) was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mukesh Sharma was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vikas Sharma said that Jammu and Kashmir possesses rich cricketing talent and the need is to hone it in a better way, adding that it is good to watch young cricketers performing in a big way.
Earlier, Game Changer winning the toss and field first, BCC bundled out for a big total of 164/6 runs in 25 overs. Ankush top scored with 63 runs, while Gaurav contributed 22 runs to the total. Sahil took 2 wickets, while Naveen, Raghu and Sunny claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Game Changer managed to score 159 runs in the allotted overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 5 runs.
Sunny scored 29 runs, while Avinash and Rohit contributed 27 and 26 runs to the total respectively.
For BCC, Pankaj took 3 wickets, while Panku, Ashwani and Ankaj claimed two wickets apiece. Ankush was adjudged as the man of the match.
