BCC Reds lifts BPL-2017 title

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Baramulla Premier League 2017 conducted by Himalayan Brigade of Army over two months witnessing participation of 51 teams from various parts of Baramulla district, concluded here today.
A total of 32 teams qualified for the elite competition and were divided into four pools of eight teams each.
The final match was played between BCC Reds and United Star Baramulla at Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla.
Apart from a large number of spectators, a galaxy of Senior Army and Police Officers including Major General RP Kalita witnessed the matches.
GOC Dagger Division presented the winners Trophy to BCC Reds and the individual prizes to the winners during the closing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the GOC said that this annual sporting extravaganza provided a huge platform to the young sportspersons to showcase their talent and prepare themselves for the higher levels.
